Man dies after being struck in back, side on Arnsdale Circle

SHREVEPORT, La. (KSLA) - A man was shot and mortally wounded outside his girlfriend’s house in west Shreveport Sunday evening.

On Aug. 28, officers with the Shreveport Police Department (SPD) were dispatched to the 4700 block of Arnsdale Circle for a reported shooting at 4:14 p.m.

Alfred D. Bell, 24, was shot in the back and side. He was transported to Ochsner LSU Health hospital, where he succumbed to his wounds at 4:43 p.m, said Caddo Parish Coroner’s Office.

Bell’s death marks the 57th homicide in Caddo Parish in and the 55th in Shreveport in 2023.

This is an ongoing investigation.
