RACHANA CHOURASIA RAJENDRAN
MASTER RACHANA CHOURASIA RAJENDRAN is a 8 th Dan Black Belt. She is an
INTERNATIONAL MASTER INSTRUCTOR, EXAMINER & UMPIRE. She is the only
8 th DAN BLACK BELT of South Asia and rank among, hardly less than 30 female high
degree Black Belt holders of the World. She has traveled to over 35 countries for
training and participation and thus led the Indian team to many victories in the
international arena. She is one of the few Master Instructors of the world who had the opportunity to train under the Founder & Father of Taekwon-do General Choi Hong Hi, the Founder of Taekwon-Do on many occasions.
She is the Secretary General of “Taekwon-do Association of India, New Delhi” (which
has 25 states affiliated to it) and “Taekwon-do Federation of Delhi” which has over
200 clubs and 350 reputed Schools of Delhi NCR including the American School and
British School were Taekwon-do is taught regularly. Besides this She is the
Tournament Chairperson of the Women Committee of Taekwon-do Association of
India and South Asian Taekwon-do Federation. And also the Executive Board Member of Women Committee of International Taekwon-do Federation, Austria.
She was awarded “INTERNATIONAL OUTSTANDING INSTRUCTOR MEDAL” TWO Times. One during the 18 th ITF Senior World Championship at Sofia, Bulgaria in 2013 and second time during 19 th Senior World Championship at Plovdiv City, Bulgaria in 2015 by Dr. Prof. Chang Ung, Life President of ITF and by Prof. Master Ri Yong Son the ITF President, for her outstanding work in promoting Taekwon-do in the South Asian region of Asia. She was also awarded “ITF ORDER – Distinguished Service Medal” at the 100 th Birthday celebration of Gen. Choi Hong Hi, the Founder of Taekwon-do in Pyongyang, DPR Korea on 09.11.2018 for her tireless work towards propagation of the original Taekwon-do.
She is also the recipient of ‘DELHI GAURAV AWARD” in the category of “BRAVE HEART OF DELHI” in SELF DEFENSE presented by DR. Harsh Vardhan, Hon’ble Union Minister of Science & Technology, Government of India. On 19.03.2022 she was promoted to 8 th Dan Black Belt by International Taekwon-Do Federation, Viena, Austria the original body of Taekwon-do found by Gen. Choi Hong Hi the Founder of Taekwon-Do. Making her the first women in South & Middle Asia to achieve this distinction.
And recently Master RACHANA CHOURASIA RAJENDRAN, 8th Dan Black Belt, The Secretary General of Taekwon-Do Association of India, was felicitated with AWARD of “BHARAT GAURAV SAMMAN & quote at “AAZADI KA AMRIT MAHOTSAV & 75 th year of Indian Independence” held on 22 April 2022 at HOUSE OF LORDS, PARLIAMENT OF THE UNITED KINGDOM in LONDON, by MEENAKSHI LEKHI, the Minister of State for Foreign Affairs and Culture, Government of India
for her achievements in the field of Taekwon-do Sports & Coaching. She is one of the very few SPORTS WOMEN in India to receive this award. She also participated in the succeeding Fashion Show parade.
